INTERVIEWS

Interviews can be taped in a variety of ways: from multiple cameras angles to a single camera shoot. While quality lighting gives your project the significance any university-related endeavor deserves, we try to be as unobtrusive as possible to make it a pleasant experience.

We can use our studio or go on location at your discretion. Interview footage can be inserted as part of a larger piece, used as a stand-alone item in a classroom, or can stream it on the web. Interview footage is often used for archival purposes as well. We'll research the topic before taping and often provide the questions to the interviewee for review ahead of time.

All requests are handled on a first come, first serve basis.

We facilitated the taping of interviews as a part of the Detroit African-American History Project website. This interview took place at Mr. Archer's downtown Detroit office.

Starting out as a special education teacher, Mr. Archer ultimately pursued law, which then became the foundation of his illustrious career. In addition to teaching and practicing law, he has also served as a Michigan Supreme Court judge, mayor of Detroit and president of the American Bar Association
